DO know what you want when you’re hunting for a new bra. Are you looking to minimize or enhance? Are you wearing it with your new black dress? Or your new white dress? Let them know exactly what your looking for . This will help you and your bra consultant.
DO know what to look for. Make sure it fits! Lean forward when you put your bra on and bring your breasts into the cups. Make sure that the cups aren’t cutting across your chest (making two boobs look more like four), the underwire extends to behind your breasts, the centre of the bra is flat against your rib cage, the band runs parallel to the ground, and you can fit two fingers beneath your straps.
DO enhance the positive. Push-up bras give great cleavage, while minimizers effectively reduce the look of your bust size. If you have one breast that’s larger than the other, you can build up the smaller one with a “cookie” (a half-moon-shaped cushion inserted into the cup).
DONTchoose the wrong bra size. We don’t think our breasts change significantly over time, but they really do! Start with a professional fitting and follow up every year.
DONT miss out onall the other options for everyday bra's. Don’t forget about T-shirt bras (which have smooth cups with a slight shell that let you wear fitted tops without the risk of “nippleitis”), bejewelled fashion bras and bustiers that can be worn as tops.
Brides don't rush it. Picking out the perfect undergarments for your wedding day will make all the difference. The last thing you need is pinching in places you dont want to talk about.
