Tanning

Tips for tanning!  Here are some things to remember when looking to achieve that perfect sun-kissed glow for your big day!

1. Start with exfoliating your skin, including your face. Buff all dry patches of skin in the shower with a non oil based scrub. Towel dry.  Then apply a body lotion to areas of your skin that tend to be the driest areas such as your knees, elbows and ankles.

2. Start with your feet first! It’s best to start applying on the lowest part of your body. If you apply it to your stomach or chest first and bend over it could cause your tan to crease.

3. Let it dry. You don’t want to wipe away the cream before it can react. Give it at least 15 minutes before you get dressed. Or follow the directions on the package. Some tanners are like moisturizers so you can just leave them on.

4. De-streak. This applies to leave on tanners as well. Five minutes after you have applied the product use a dry washcloth to diffuse the color on your ankles, wrists, feet, knees and between fingers.

5. Remember, water will wash off that glow so don’t linger in the shower to long. Keep it  under 10 minutes. Try to avoid shaving and exfoliating soon after you have applied your tan. You’ll loose your glow faster if you do.

Brides here is a fabulous company that we are sure you will fall in love with. Michael is an industry leader in the music business with over 20 years experience! Here are some things to keep in mind while on the hunt. For Saturday's during the summer season, book approximatley 8-12 months in advance. Brides, be
sure to always meet with your DJ right from the beginning to be sure that you "click" and that he/she knows exactly what your looking for musically. Brides have enough things going on leading up to the wedding besides having to worry about who the DJ is going to be.

Some other thought to consider:
Does the DJ truly understand the importance of your day? Too many DJ's think of a wedding as just another "gig" and treat it the same as they would treat a night club or bar job. They fail to realize that a wedding is one of the biggest and most important days in the couples lives. They fail to realize the emotional and financially attachment involved in this one day. They fail to realize that this is an "event" and not just another "gig". Will the DJ dress appropriately? Will the DJ take and play requests? Will the DJ do what he/she promised to do? Will they say everyone's names correctly during the introductions? etc. If they use the word "gig" when referring to your wedding, keep looking.

Finally, the most important thing about hiring a DJ, which is often overlooked or hidden behind sales pitches and bright lights, is the music. Can the DJ play the type of music you and your guests want played? Will they play the music you want to hear? Can they beat-mix or do they just fade the songs in and out. Pick the genres of music you want played and then ask the DJ to name off 5-8 songs in that genre. However if doing this, maybe give the DJ one of two songs that you consider a part of a specific genre as your idea of that genre of music may be different than the DJ's. Please visit Michael's website for more information.

There is a huge trend in the wedding industry right now called Trash The Dress. The day after your wedding, you get to wear your beautiful dress again...but this time you trash it and record the whole thing!

Most brides box up their wedding dress, stuff it in a closet and let it collect dust. Why not do something daring and feel like a model for a day! The pictures look amazing and you'll experience something unique and special with your hubby!
