Cynthia Martyn from Cynthia Martyn Events is organizing the first Canadian Wedding Awards! We are very excited about this! We just wanted to let you all know the new skinny about Diana and I. Diana has been working hard on new designs for her cake collection. You can view her new cakes at papilloncakes.ca. I think this series of cakes is her best yet! We have also been working hard on a collection of cakes and invites that match each other. We already have a few designs on our websites, but keep check back for more!
I just recently finished a new custom letterpress design for a client of mine in New York. I have to say, this design is one of my favourites! I can't wait to get the prints from the print shop! I will post a picture of the print once I receive them. But for now, you can see the design below!
We have exciting news...drum roll please....Diana was asked to participate in the Ultimate Wedding Challenge on the Food network!!! The producers of the show loved her work and asked her to participate in not one, but two of their challenges! She will be participating in of course of the wedding cake challenge as well as the celebration cake challenge! Taping of the show will begin either in April or May. We will post more information about the air date when we are informed. Let's all show our support to Diana and writer her encouraging emails or comments!! I'M SO PROUD OF YOU DIANA! I will soon have a celebrity pastry chef in the office next to mine...so star struck ;)

For the past few seasons, green and white has been all the rage, this summer's weddings have a strong trend towards this same colour palette. That said, some of today's most fashionable brides are adding a new twist...purple! On its own purple - from violet to aubergine - may seem a bit too girly; but as an accent colour, it makes a green and white scheme feel fresh and modern.
